Review

Gothic and Spanish influence in poetry!!

My impressions

First finished book of 2024 !

✨If you’re looking for a haunted mansion, mix with the Disney movie Encanto, and Coroline with Gothic vibes and Thriller this is the book for you.

πŸ–€I really enjoyed the Gothic elements of this book and the Latino influence!! Definitely a book that makes you feel thrills all over. At first it starts very slow I thought I knew what was going to happen next but boy was I wrong, this book truly keeps you on your toes!! Definitely was disgusted with some scenes, but also interested in moving forward, I didn’t want to stop reading. Also, the authors writing was incredible and easy to visually captivate EVERYTHING…and I don’t exaggerate when I say everything. This book has pretty intense things 😳 😬

🌹The Romance between to of the main characters was very sweet and charming, loved it. She is the outgoing, independent, flirty one and He is the shy, eclectic, gentleman

Overall, for my tastes in Gothic elements and spooky feels I will say this book was a masterpiece πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ ✨️ 😌 Definitely would listen or read it again and want to get the physical copy!!

⚠️ Content Warning: Sexual assault, incest, murder and gore, cannibalism, themes challenging white supremacy and eugenics, discussions surrounding the death of a parent and other family members, miscarriages and stillbirths, discussions surrounding suicide, and the consumption of alcohol
