About Ruth
Hello there! I’m Ruth, also known as ForestCabinReads! I’ve proudly held the title of Official Boosktagramer since November 2022. In addition to my love for books, I’m an artist, photographer, social media manager, creative director, model, and video editor.
As a child, I was captivated by movies featuring fantasy, romance, and gothic themes, such as “The Lord of the Rings”, “The NeverEnding Story”, and “Beauty and the Beast”. However, my exploration of books truly opened the door to a world of endless adventures! From sword fights to magical worlds, enchanted forests, and mythical creatures, I developed a deep love for book genres like fantasy, mystery, paranormal, romance, and thrillers. I am a fan of mystery and thrillers with gothic paranormal elements!
I’m a woman who enjoys exploring different genres of books. However, I generally prefer low-spice to no-spice books. In my ratings, I will let my readers know how spicy the books can be and also the page count, so if that’s not their cup of tea, they can be prepared!
HERE ARE SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:
⟡ My favorite genre is Paranormal, Romance, & Fantasy! I like the tropes Enemies to Lovers, Soulmates, Touch and You Die, Friends to Lovers, Fake Dating, Found Family, Grumpy, and Sunshine.
⟡ I’m from Puerto Rico, but I live in Texas with my husband (my soulmate), and I love it here. We enjoy exploring the city, trying out new restaurants, and going on adventures. Soon, we will all be skydiving; we shall see how that goes!!
⟡ My hobbies include painting, crocheting, and photography. I also enjoy hiking, fishing, and bushcraft survival. I’m currently training to be able to average 8 miles a day so I can go on longer hikes in the future and not die.
⟡ I mostly enjoy listening to anything from the 90s and under. I love a bit of metal and classical music, and some days, all I want to listen to is Enya!
⟡ It is my DREAM to visit Scotland and New Zealand (I am I’m a giant lord of the Rings fan, so of course I want to see the Shire!! )
⟡ I have always been an animal lover. But I love Bats, Moths, Owls and Butterflies!
⟡ I love cooking and baking!!
⟡ I enjoy axe/knife, throwing!!
